In 1948, the Pentecostal Fellowship of North America (PFNA) was formed at First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines. This convention was unique in that it was the first unifying organization for Pentecostal denominations. Oral Roberts was the keynote speaker, preaching to overs 4,000 ministers. Afterwards, Brother Roberts remarked how he loved preaching at 19th and Crocker. The design of the sanctuary allowed him to “see the whites in their eyes”.
