The campus continued to grow and Open Bible’s reach was extending to the nations of the World. However, in 1965, when the growing church learned future expansion could be hindered by plans for a freeway to the north of the Open Bible property, the congregation began to look to the west for opportunity.

In 1966, they broke ground for a new church located at the corner of Beaver and Hickman in the Beaverdale area.

First Church of the Open Bible occupied the historic location at 19th and Crocker for 38 years.
